BOOK CLUBS
We have book clubs that meet at or through the library. Please check out the following list and dates for these clubs. All books are available by picking up at the library and/or going to the Libby/Hoopla App.
- Gentle Reads/Inspirational: October 13th @6:30pm ~ Yesterday's Gone by Cindy and Erin Woodsmall. Club meets 2nd Monday of the month.
- Historical Fiction: October 9th @ 2pm at Vancrest~ The Keeper of Happy Endings by Barbara Davis. Club meets 2nd Thursday of the month.
- Cozy Reads Book Club: October 9th & 16th @ 4:30pm~The Ghost & Mrs. Mewer by Krista Davis . This club will be two groups, please sign up for only one night; sign up will be available at the front desk where you can pick up your book. This is a new club through the library that will meet at Penny Lane Art Gallery & Café; genres may vary but will stick to being a cozy, warm, and quick read.
- Sweet Reads Book Club: October 21st @ 4:30pm~Rewitched by Lucy Jane Wood . This book club will be at Penny Lane Art Gallery & Café.
Mystery Book Club: September 23rd @ 4pm ~End Game by David Baldacci. Club meets 4th Tuesday of the month.
We also have an embroidery club that meets the last Monday of the month @6pm. Beginners are welcome and FREE kits are available for those who wish to join. Feel free to bring you own needlepoint, cross-stitch, & embroidery projects. You can come when you want and stay as long as you want. The club meets in the adult section starting at 6pm.
Yarn Club Rescheduled for September 29th 4:30-6:30pm: We’ve had lots of yarn donations here at the library for our yarn club; we are so grateful for it, and we want to share it with others! If you are needing some yarn and/or knitting needles, please stop by the meeting room for Yarn Club. We will also be discussing a project that we will be doing as a Yarn Club.
With these yarn donations, we will be making hats, gloves/mittens, shawls, & scarves for the VA Nursing Homes & Hospice who are in need of donations. So, if you are wanting to knit or crochet something to donate, please attend or reach out to Adult Programs for more information Need help with knitting/crochet? Attend the club and work with others, we have patterns, tools, & tips to help out.
Yarn Club October 13th 5:30-6:30pm:previously titled knitting club. Whether you crochet or knit, come to yarn club and craft with others. Beginners welcome!
Bible Study Group
The Bible Study Group that meets the first Saturday of every month between 10am-12pm, will be doing 12 Daring Women of the Bible studies.
