The New Carlisle Public Library offers a rich and varied calendar of adult programming. Offerings include craft classes, sign language, book discussions, historical programming, and much more! All programs are FREE!

NEW!!
We have started up our rewards program again that we tested in May. For every program that you attend, you receive a punch in you rewards/loyalty card; once the card has filled all your punches, you will be able to turn it in for a voucher to Penny Lane Art Gallery & Café. This program will run from September 1st-December 30th; you can pick up the rewards cards at the library's front desk.
Also, starting September 1st, you will be able to order a drink special from Penny Lane that coordinates with our new Cozy Reads Book Club.
We also have a new support group meeting on Thursday September 26th at 4:30pm here at the library. It's called Different Strokes for Different Folks. Please check out the flyer below for more information.
BOOK CLUBS
We have book clubs that meet at or through the library. Please check out the following list and dates for these clubs. All books are available by picking up at the library and/or going to the Libby/Hoopla App.
- Christian Fiction: October 1st @5pm~ In A Cardboard Box by Jane Dubbeld (book is available through the club leader. Club meets 1st Tuesday of the month.
- Gentle Reads/Inspirational: October 9th @6:30pm~ The Meeting Place by Janette Oke. Club meets 2nd Monday of the month.
- Historical Fiction: October 10th @2pm~ The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys. Club meets 2nd Thursday of the month.
- Cozy Reads Book Club: September 19th @4:30pm~ Steeped to Death by Gretchen Rue. This is a new club through the library that will meet at Penny Lane Art Gallery & Café; genres may vary but will stick to being a cozy, warm, and quick read. The month of September is a cozy mystery. Club meets 3rd Thursday of the month.
- Mystery Book Club: September 24th @4pm ~ Title TBA. Club meets 4th Tuesday of the month.
We also have an embroidery club that meets the last Monday of the month @6pm. Beginners are welcome and FREE kits are available for those who wish to join. Feel free to bring you own needlepoint, cross-stitch, & embroidery projects. Refreshments will be available at the meeting. You can come when you want and stay as long as you want. The club meets in the adult section starting at 6pm. Upcoming dates:
